Project Manager

Closing date for applications: 17th March 2025 at 12:00 – noon. Interviews are planned for: 7 April 2025 (subject to change) Location: Working remotely/from home. Salary: circa £34,000 to £40,000 depending upon experience Details: Permanent; full time 37.5 hours per week position. HQIP (Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcome Programme (NCAPOP) team.
The post-holder will provide proactive project management input across multiple projects within the programme. The Project Manager will ensure that the commissioning and contract management run smoothly. The role is varied and requires the successful candidate to undertake a range of duties to support:
  • commissioning of new and existing audits and outcome review programmes
  • contract management of providers to deliver these activities
  • development of internal systems and processes to support programme-wide activities including reporting, guidance and policies
  • management of the standard reporting procedure leading up to publication of outputs
  • stakeholder engagement
  • the smooth running of projects and act as a key liaison point for each provider throughout the duration of their contract.

Clinical Audit Awareness Week 2025 – Promotional Toolkit

We recently announced the return of Clinical Audit Awareness Week #CAAW25, featuring the Clinical Audit Heroes Awards (2 – 6 June 2025). While it is hosted by HQIP in collaboration with N-QI-CAN, it is the clinical audit, quality improvement and wider healthcare communities (and the multitude of events and activities that you organise), that make this event a success – so here’s more about how you can get involved. To support #CAAW25 activities in your organisation, we have created a free toolkit of resources you can download and share (further resources will be added over the course of #CAAW25, so do check back for updates). This includes:

Tender: cardiovascular disease prevention

HQIP is seeking to commission an organisation that will support the delivery of the Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Audit (CVDPREVENT): Workstream 3. The programme will initially be delivered for NHS-funded care in England but may later extend to include Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Isle of Man, Guernsey and other Devolved Nations/ Crown Dependencies. Clinical Audit Awareness Week 2025 – Launch event on 12 March

We are delighted to announce the return of Clinical Audit Awareness Week (#CAAW25), which will take place from 2-6 June 2025.

To launch this year’s #CAAW25, we are holding a short online event on Wednesday 12 March, 12:30 – 1:00 pm. This will include a presentation by Professor Danny Keenan (HQIP Medical Director) and Vicky Patel (Chair of N-QI-CAN), who will talk about the impact of clinical audit and quality improvement, as well as details of how to get involved in this year’s campaign and awards.

What is Clinical Audit Awareness Week (#CAAW25)?

#CAAW25 is a national campaign designed to share and celebrate the impact of clinical audit and quality improvement in healthcare, and plays an important part in promoting the value of this work across healthcare.

Run in collaboration with the National Quality Improvement (incl. Clinical Audit) Network (N-QI-CAN), this year’s campaign will again centre around the Clinical Audit Heroes Awards. Further information on the awards, and on the wider #CAAW25 campaign and events, will be available in future HQIP eBulletins, on social media (follow @HQIP and @NQICAN on X and HQIP on LinkedIn), and posted to our dedicated Clinical Audit Awareness Week and Clinical Audit Heroes Awards webpages.

We are pleased to announce that the following new resources from HQIP-commissioned audits and programmes have been published. They include reports, infographics, data and other outputs to support quality improvement in healthcare:
  • Child health – juvenile idiopathic arthritis report – National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death (NCEPOD)
  • Suicide and safety in mental health report – National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Safety in Mental Health (NCISH)
  • Early intervention in psychosis provision report – National Clinical Audit of Psychosis (NCAP)
