Details: Permanent. 37.5 hours per week.

HQIP is a small, dynamic organisation with a broad remit. A key strand of our work programme is the commissioning and management of the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcome Programme on behalf of NHS England with whom we work closely.

We are seeking a 1.0 WTE Associate Director for Quality & Development to join our team. If you are seeking a new challenge and have the relevant experience and skills we would love to hear from you. We support flexible working and are based in the City of London with excellent transport links.

The National Clinical Audit & Patient Outcome Programme

The NCAPOP is a set of around 40 national clinical audits (NCA) and clinical outcome review programmes (CORP). These programmes measure the quality and outcomes from healthcare practice against explicit standards, and result in national reports designed to stimulate improvements in care.

 Key requirements

The post holder will provide leadership and guidance at both programme and individual project level to ensure a high quality NCAPOP that is methodologically robust and clinically relevant including working and engaging with:

  • The relevant project teams to ensure robust commissioning, development and delivery of programmes to time, stakeholder satisfaction, quality and budget.
  • NHS England, the Welsh Government, other devolved nations and a wide network of senior clinicians to i) plan and deliver the scope and development for new programmes as well as at ii) points of contract extension or re-tender.
  • The HQIP team to disseminate the key messages from across the NCAPOP programme and maximize opportunities to integrate NCA and CORP development and delivery to NHS providers.
