Hear from our Heroes: Clinical Practitioner of the Year (Local)

Published: 07 Sep 2020

It was a great privilege to be nominated for the audit hero awards (thanks to my colleagues who think I do a good job in this area). It was incredibly exciting when I heard that I won the award. Certainly a game changer in my QI journey!

The award has increased my reach and visibility in the Trust and East of England region. I received numerous calls and emails asking to share our local QI experience, approach & how we learnt and improved things. Trust executives and non-executive directors have been touch and offered support to move things forward even further.

Networking is an important part of QI & the award made it easier for people to connect with me and vice versa. I’ve been able to steer, influence and participate in more local QI work and expand it to the local maternity & neonatal system (LMNS), regional and even national platforms.
