This programme aims to improve the quality of care, services, and clinical outcomes for people with respiratory disease (including asthma and COPD). Spanning the entire patient care pathway, NRAP works closely with patients and healthcare professionals, and aspires to a vision for services which puts patients’ needs first. It does this by using data to support and train clinicians, as well as empowering people living with respiratory disease, and their carers, to inform national and local policy. NRAP has a strong track record of delivery, which is critical in assessing progress against national priorities.

Supporting improvement

NRAP works with respiratory teams and coaches on their improvement goals in adult or children and young people’s asthma, COPD and pulmonary rehabilitation. Together, they aim to achieve sustainable improvement in the care of people with respiratory conditions in England and Wales.
