The audit builds upon the learning from previous primary care reports. Contributing to the overarching healthcare improvement objectives of NRAP, this report aims to empower stakeholders to use audit data to facilitate improvements in the quality of care for people diagnosed with asthma and COPD. This report consolidates the key findings and national recommendations emerging from the 2023–25 Welsh primary care audit. It builds upon the metrics previously presented in the 2021–23 audit, offering comparative cohort analysis and contextual narrative to highlight the relevance of these indicators to healthcare service delivery and improvement.
NRAP recommends that primary care in Wales prioritise two key areas: enhancing the accuracy and consistency of data recording and strengthening healthcare improvement initiatives.
