This short report presents preliminary results on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the provision of NHS vascular care in the UK and its potential impact on short-term surgical outcomes.
The analysis covered:
- patients who had a repair procedure for abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA)
- patients who had carotid endarterectomy, and
- patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) who had either lower limb revascularisation (endovascular / bypass surgery) or major amputation.
