Benchmarking data published

The following datasets were recently published on the National Clinical Audit Benchmarking (NCAB) website, HQIP’s online portal which provides access to national audit performance data:

• Hip fractures: Data from the National Hip Fracture Database (NHFD) 2026 annual report, ‘Mind the Gap: Challenging Inequities in Hip Fracture Care’ report, covering 2025 data
• Rheumatology: Data from the National Early Inflammatory Autoimmune Diseases Audit (NEIAA) State of the Nation Summary Report 2026 (Year 8), covering data from April 2025 to March 2026
• Emergency laparotomy: Data from the National Emergency Laparotomy Audit (NELA) Eleventh Annual Emergency Laparotomy report, covering data from 23/04/24 to 31/03/25.

NCAB is an online portal, hosted by HQIP, which consolidates results for selected key metrics from a range of audits across the NCAPOP programme. Users do not need to register, and can access audit benchmarked data searchable by trust, health board, hospital or unit. To view all datasets currently published, visit the NCAB site.
