HQIP NCA 2111- NJR Statistical Analysis, Support and Associated Services

HQIP is seeking to procure the following services for the National Joint Registry (NJR) for England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the States of Guernsey.

The Statistical Analysis contract provides an intelligence function applying sound statistical skills, academic rigour and clinical experience to provide intelligent analysis of data to a wide variety of stakeholders.

Key areas of work include but are not limited to:

Analysis of standard datasets including implant, hospital and surgeon outcome measures for the NJR Annual Report and on-going stakeholder information services;

Development of a robust statistical methodology for outlier identification and review of data validation;

Preparation of an annual research-ready dataset and ongoing research-ready datasets;

Targeted auditing of data quality;

Analysis of ad-hoc datasets under instruction from NJR sub-committees

Undertake a programme of research as directed by the Research Committee

Additional Information

The contract is for an initial period of 3 years and 3 months at a maximum total budget of 1,080,155 GBP excluding VAT and bids exceeding this limit may be rejected.  For the total five year and three month period, the contract value will range from 1,080,155 GBP with a maximum of 1,744,865 GBP.

The contract is let initially to be delivered solely for England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Guernsey. However, there is potential to extend the contract for a possible 2 years, subject to the availability of funding and an assessment by HQIP on the quality of the delivery.  The Authority, in the future, may also offer the potential to vary the contract to additionally cover Jersey, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland and/or supporting NHS England strategic plans to adopt and implement findings from the Cumberlege Report the Medical Device Safety Programme.  There is no commitment by the Authority at this stage to do so.
