National Oesophago- Gastric Cancer Audit 2012

This is the 2012 Annual Report of the National Oesophago-Gastric Cancer Audit (NOGCA). It builds on the procedures and findings of previous rounds of the audit, which began in October 2006.This report centres on prospective data collected on patients (aged 18 years or over) diagnosed with invasive epithelial cancer of the oesophagus, gastro-oesophageal junction (GOJ) or stomach on or after 1 April 2011.

From 1 April 2012, the Audit also included patients diagnosed with oesophageal high-grade glandular dysplasia (HGD). This audit is part of the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP).
