Reports | Published: 01 Jan 2009

Former HQIP commissioned programme

The National Kidney Care Audit was commissioned in England and Wales between 2008 – 2011 as part of the centrally-funded National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP). It was managed by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (who now trade as NHS Digital). The audit aimed to determine the performance of renal centres across England, Wales and Northern Ireland in the use of optimal vascular access for haemodialysis, to measure the burden of vascular access and to explore operational issues in providing access.
