National Bowel Cancer Audit – adjuvant chemotherapy use in stage III colon cancer short report

This short report aims to explore how best to capture adjuvant chemotherapy use with linked Hospital Episode Statistics Admitted Patient Care (HES-APC) and Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) datasets by evaluating:

  1. whether information from the datasets can be combined to reliably capture adjuvant chemotherapy use in stage III colon cancer patients and
  2. whether information from the datasets can be combined reliably to capture the number of cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy in stage III colon cancer patients.
