Case study: Whose Shoes? #MatExp (Maternity Experience)
A 2015 case study from Whose Shoes? and Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, who worked with service users, hospital staff, and commissioners, to look at experience of maternity services from all perspectives, for quality improvement. The project combined a thought provoking board game with open and transparent discussion in a supportive workshop environment, as the catalyst for in-depth analysis, pledges to improve the quality of services, and rapidly agreed change.
This case study demonstrates co-participation in service quality improvement, integrated perspectives for effective change, and devolved leadership for person centred care.
