Richard Driscoll

Richard DriscollRichard Driscoll is Chief Executive of Crohn's and Colitis UK, the new working name for (NACC) National Association for Colitis and Crohn's Disease.  He first joined NACC as its first Director in 1991, after previously working as a Family Advice Worker, Home Dialysis Administrator and then Administrator to the charity Cancer BACUP when it was launched. 

As Director and then Chief Executive of NACC, now known as Crohn's and Colitis UK, he has overseen the growth of membership to almost 31,000 people and the role of the charity extend from a network of local volunteer groups to one that provides excellent individual information and support, funds about £400,000 of research annually and campaigns on behalf of people who have IBD and healthcare services for IBD. 

Richard is a member of the Implementation Groups for the UK IBD Audit and a quality improvement project called IBDQIP. He is Vice Chairman of the national IBD Registry and is also a trustee both of the British Society of Gastroenterology and HQIP the body that administers government funding for national audits.
