HQIP has launched a concise digital version of its 'PPE in Clinical Audit' guide, designed as a quick guide to the essential tenets of patient and public engagement.

The four-page summary focuses on the six standards outlined in the full 32-page guidance, which seek to identify what NHS organisations need to do to ensure best practice Patient and Public Engagement (PPE) in clinical practice.

"The full version of the guidance has proved hugely popular since its release in September 2009," said HQIP Development Officer Kim Rezel.  "This summary version has been produced in response to demand for a topline overview of the essential for sucessful PPE programmes which provide a quick reference tool for audit staff, clinicians, managers and patients themselves."

"This abbreviated PPE guide follows a similar move with HQIP's 'Clinical audit: A simple guide for NHS Boards and partners' document, which has again been very well received", Rezel added.
