New audit topics announced

2 December 2008: Following the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme's (NCAPOP) call for proposals for new national clinical audits, the National Clinical Audit Advisory Group (NCAAG) have shortlisted priorities and a decision has been made to proceed to tender on the below topics:

  • Asthma care services
  • ACT multi-agency care pathway for children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions
  • End of life care provided by primary care, using after death analysis
  • Epilepsy 12. Quality and delivery of care for children and young people with suspected and diagnosed epilepsies
  • Essence of care - food and nutrition
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Management of venous leg ulcers
  • Management of patients with stage 4 or 5 chronic kidney disease (CKD)
  • Outcomes of referrals to paediatricians for suspected child maltreatment
  • Patient outcomes and experience of treatment for women with heavy menstrual bleeding
  • Prescribing practice for treatment-resistant schizophrenia
  • Quality improvement programme for the Pain Database.
