NCAPOP: Data Sharing and Information Governance seminar now booking

HQIP's National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP) Team is holding the first of its 2012 seminar programme on Monday 20 February between 9am and 1pm at the Wellcome Trust, Euston Road, London.

This event is being held exclusively for the national clinical audit project teams, commissioned by HQIP to carry out work for the 29 current NCAPOP conditions (11 new topics have recently been added).

At this free event, representatives will have a chance to hear from:

  • NHS Information Centre, Executive Director for Information Governance, Clare Sanderson on Information Governance
  • National Information Governance Board, NIGB Approvals Manager, Natasha Dunkley on Section 251 (NHS Act 2006) support
  • Rickerbys LLP Solicitors, Senior Counsel, Matthew Wolton on the HQIP data sharing agreement and
  • National Institute for Clinical Outcomes Research, Myocardial Ischaemia National Audit Project Manager, Lucia Gavalova on practical experience of information governance and data sharing.

The day will also include Q&A sessions and conclude with a sandwich lunch and opportunities for networking.

Later in 2012, NCAPOP will hold further seminars on:

  • PROMS/PREMS and ethical considerations (April 2012)
  • Outliers - making guidance a reality (Oct 2012)
  • Contracting and procurement for beginners - financial governance and reporting (Dec 2012)
