Maternal, Infant and Perinatal Programme
The Maternal, Infant and Perinatal programme was previously known as the Maternal and Newborn programme. The work programme underwent a review by an expert panel and the outcome and recommendations were published in July 2011:
HQIP is responsible for implementing the recommendations of the review panel in addition to the commissioning a new supplier to undertake this work (2012).
Continuity of data collection is vital and data collectors should continue to collect maternal and perinatal mortality data, which can be submitted through the Maternal and Perinatal Mortality Notification (MPMN) secure web portal - http://www.mpmn.nhs.uk/. If you wish to register for this portal or have any additional queries please email enquiries@mpmn.nhs.uk for further information.
