The King's Fund has announced its latest quality measurement seminar, taking place in London this March.
‘Applying quality measurement to improve health care services' is on Tuesday 23rd March, running from 9.30am-4.15pm at the King's Fund's in-house event venue - speakers include HQIP National Development Lead Elaine Young.
Young will be presenting a session on data management, while the keynote speaker will be John Stewart, Deputy Director of the Quality Framework & QIPP Programme at the Department of Health.
Other speakers and topics include Professor Peter Smith, Professor of Health Policy at Imperial College Business School, on quality measurement for health care improvement; Dr Roger Smith, Medical Director at South London Healthcare NHS Trust, on engaging clinicians in quality measurement and Sarah Scobie, Head of Information at the IM&T Consortium, on prioritising information and using data to improve services.
The seminar follows the publication of The King's Fund discussion paper, 'Getting the measure of quality', and will focus on issues to consider in developing, producing and using measures of quality, how to measure quality with a practical look at the use of data and indicators to improve health care services, how to prioritise data, and engaging boards and clinicians in quality measurement.
