HQIP publish statutory and mandatory requirements for CA

HQIP has published a table bringing together all the current statutory and mandatory clinical audit requirements for NHS organisations in England, designed as an additional resource for audit staff, to facilitate their work and improve practice.

"When these requirements are carried out, in accordance with best practice clinical audit, the improvement of quality of care and outcomes for patients should be evident," said HQIP Lead for Quality Improvement and Development Kate Godfrey. "Together, they facilitate compliance with clinical standards and the process provides an opportunity to minise waste, risk and inefficiences."  

The Quality Improvement and Development Team at HQIP is responsible for promoting clinical audit to local practitioners in order to improve capacity, competence and effectiveness of audit at local level.
