"The QIPP agenda presents enormous challenges to the NHS and within that, clinical audit," commented HQIP Chief Executive Robin Burgess. "Clinical audit should be seen as a tool to help achieve QIPP benefits, and this new article posted today raises the issues and seeks to spark debate about how clinical assists the QIPP process in effective ways, to save money, improve patient care, and improve quality.
"We may not like the threat of change and cuts, but we have to work within them, be constructive, and find answers. This article encourages the clinical audit community to meet this challenge head on."
