Royal College of Nursing

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) represents the interests of nurses and nursing locally, nationally and internationally, promotes excellence in practice and shapes health policies. The RCN influences and lobbies governments and others to develop and implement policy that improves the quality of patient care, and builds on the importance of nurses, health care assistants and nursing students to health outcomes.

National Voices

National Voices is the new umbrella organisation established by and for the voluntary sector. It brings together all national voluntary organisations representing users of health and social care to give them a stronger voice in policy-making.

National Voices will place patients, carers and other service users at the heart of national policy-making by involving the organisations that represent them in the decision-making process.

National Voices will bridge the gap between service users and policy-makers to place people at the heart of policy development. That means addressing every issue from the individual's perspective and focusing on both health and social care.
