HQIP commissions the national audit and confidential enquiries (or outcome review) programme in England. The Welsh Government then decides which of these will operate in Wales, and HQIP works closely with the Welsh Government to support how these are carried out in Wales and provide support and advice on national audit policy generally.
HQIP contributed to this document and is part of the national steering group which created it: the National Clinical Audit and Outcome Review Advisory Committee (NCAORAC) under the Chairmanship of Dr Bruce Ferguson, Medical Director for Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board.Events
Local audit in Wales is not HQIP's responsibility although we give advice and information as requested and all the materials on this site are free to use in Wales, although we cannot offer funding for local audit in Wales.
The Welsh Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Association (Cymdeithas Archwiliad ac Effeithioldeb Clinigol Cymru) chaired by Arlene Shenkorov is the network group for audit professionals in Wales.
