Royal Berkshire claim Gold in the 2010 Clinical Audit Awards
Last night's HQIP Clinical Audit Awards saw Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust claim the Gold Award in respect of its outstanding achievement regarding audit work on stroke treatment.
Other winners included Cambridgeshire Community Services, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust, Surrey Community Health and a joint award for Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Kingston Hospital NHS Trust in the Creating or Improving Efficiencies category.
"This year's awards were unprecedented both in terms of the number and the quality of submissions," HQIP Chief Executive Robin Burgess told the gala dinner ceremony at The Belfry. "It was extremely difficult for the panel to select winners, which is testament to the achievements being made in clinical audit and quality improvement."
"These two awards recognise the real improvements to patient care at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust," said Clinical Governance Manager Katharine Young. "This has been achieved through a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team and the clinical audit and effectiveness department and facilitator working closely together."
